We offer you an influential role in a fast-growing company:
HeyJobs is on a mission to help everyone find the right job through data and technology. As part of our growing R&D organization, we're looking for a Working Student to join our Infrastructure Platform Engineering team.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with Infrastructure Platform engineers to improve and maintain the systems that power our applications. Whether it’s automation, AWS cloud architecture, or CI/CD pipelines — you'll gain hands-on experience with the tools and practices that keep modern platforms running.
We’re a highly AI-driven company, using the latest tools to boost platform quality, speed, and reliability. You’ll benefit from working with AI-powered workflows in areas like coding, QA, and monitoring — and learn from a team that leads by example and supports each other’s growth.
In this role, you can earn an annual target salary between 16 - 18 €/hourly.
Your personal development and promotion opportunities are also guaranteed with us.
🎯 How you can contribute to HeyJobs

Help maintain and improve our AWS-based infrastructure, working with Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
Support monitoring and alerting efforts using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, and Sentry
Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve team efficiency
Learn how to build secure and cost-effective infrastructure — and contribute to improving our cloud governance practices (IAM, cost management, security)
Get hands-on experience with containerized deployments (Docker, ECS) and CI/CD systems (CircleCI)
Grow into a future AWS and DevOps expert by learning from experienced engineers and contributing to real production systems
Help foster a strong DevOps and Platform Engineering culture through documentation, knowledge sharing, and small coaching moments with peers
🤝 What sets you up for success
Active student enrollment at a German university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Ideally you finish your studies in the 2nd half of 2025 or latest in early 2026 and would be happy to convert to full-time afterwards if there is a mutual fit (we are looking for long-term collaboration and have a great track record of turning talented students into full-time engineers and growing them through the ranks)
Passion for learning new technologies and building simple, effective solutions
Proactive mindset and eagerness to grow — you pick things up quickly and enjoy solving problems
Experience with cloud providers (preferably AWS)
Confident understanding of Linux/Unix systems
Strong communication skills in English (German not required)
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation — even better if you've used them in personal or academic projects
Confident experience with Docker; any experience running containers on ECS or troubleshooting container issues is a bonus.
Strong desire to grow in areas like cloud governance (cost, IAM, security)
Clear, structured communication skills and a collaborative mindset — you enjoy sharing ideas and learning from others
