Team mission
Our mission is to drive sustainable growth by leveraging strategic financial planning and robust data-driven insights. As a key leader in this team, you will play a pivotal role in developing our strategy, spearheading planning initiatives, and making influential financial and strategic decisions that drive our company towards its ambitious goals.
Based in our Berlin headquarters and reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, you will lead a team that partners with the Operations team, overseen by our COO & Co-Founder which encompasses our Sales & Supply and Customer Care organizations. Your role is to facilitate timely and effective decision-making processes. You should be analytically and strategically sharp, focused on results, and capable of providing leadership with clear, concise recommendations crucial for the company's success.
You will:
- Be a Strategic Business Partner: As a vital member of the extended leadership team, act as an independent strategic advisor. Guide the leadership team on crucial investment and trade-off decisions whilst ensuring strategic alignment.
- Lead Insight Generation: Develop data-driven insights that challenge and elevate the Sales & Supply team’s approach to onboarding the most sought-after tours and activities, driving sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
- Monitor Metrics Analysis and Reporting: Define, monitor, and analyze financial and operational metrics in a dynamic, high-growth environment to guide strategic decisions and optimize performance.
- Enhance Customer Satisfaction: Partner with the Customer Care team to scrutinize KPIs and deliver concrete insights, aiming to significantly enhance customer satisfaction whilst maintaining efficiency.
- Be responsible for Innovative Planning and Forecasting: Lead the Operations forecasting process to deliver business-owned budgets and forecasts. Drive innovation in business planning and forecasting by identifying key metric drivers and streamlining processes, enhancing overall business agility and foresight.
- Evaluate Investment Strategy: Evaluate investment opportunities independently, creating robust business cases. Identify and articulate necessary trade-offs to inform strategic financial planning and resource allocation.
- Be responsible for Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and motivate the Operations FP&A Manager, fostering growth and aligning their progress with our strategic objectives.
Who you are
- 7+ years of relevant experience and associated qualifications within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to articulate complex analyses clearly and concisely to leadership.
- Strategically minded, leveraging data-driven insights and robust business acumen to steer key business decisions.
- Possesses a strong strategic outlook with intellectual curiosity, a passion for customer-centric problem solving, and adaptability in ambiguous situations.
- Dynamic and proactive, thriving in a results-driven, fast-paced environment and consistently taking the initiative to drive projects forward.
- Experience using BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker) and a basic understanding of data warehouse architecture and database querying (e.g. SQL) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, and financial modelling, with experience in ERP or CPM systems highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
