Team mission

We are looking for an outstanding Head of Finance Systems to lead GetYourGuide's vision, strategy, and development of the Finance System Landscape. These tools are the backbone of our Finance operations and provide reliable solutions that translate operational processes into financial data while enabling strategic decision making.

You will:

• Financial Systems Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for finance systems that supports the company's financial objectives and growth.
• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical and functional consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• System Implementation,Integration and continuous developments: Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of financial software systems, ensuring seamless operation and data integrity. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
• General IT Controls: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their financial system needs and develop solutions that align with their objectives.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial system-related risks, implementing robust controls and security measures.

Who you are

• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, software, and technologies with minimum 7 years of experience in related roles.
• Strong project steering and budget management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR) and expertise in implementing and maintaining robust security measures and processes to protect financial data.
• Experience in managing relationships with vendors and third-party service providers for finance systems, including contract negotiations, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance monitoring.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
