Since our founding in 2021 by experienced travel entrepreneurs Henley Vazquez, Jake Peters, and Evan Frank, Fora has experienced rapid growth, expanding to a team of 70+ full-time employees based in downtown New York City. About The Role
The Head of Community leads our local Chapters and virtual Ambassadors community programs. They will develop our Chapter growth and development strategy, optimize advisor business ROI, and design scalable systems for city-specific Chapter operations.
On the program management front, they will lead local Chapter Leaders—advisors hired to build city-based communities—and oversee virtual Ambassadors who mentor advisors through Forum, our online platform. They'll also manage a small team at Fora HQ.
A key focus is community business development, including scaling city Chapters while maintaining local market relevance. They'll support Chapter Leaders who deliver local WhatsApp group engagement, co-working meetups, and maintain two-way communication between advisors and Fora HQ. Success in this role means tracking and improving advisor business outcomes for all community members in key markets.
Reporting to the Head of Advisor Experience, this leader will balance strategic growth, community experience, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy
- Lead the vision for and growth of Fora’s Chapter and Ambassador strategy to align with Fora’s core competencies, customer needs, and long-term vision for transforming the modern travel experience.
- Develop comprehensive business plans and roadmaps for continued investment in Chapters, detailing strategic goals, key milestones, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Drive the execution of Chapter specific product and service launches by creating detailed project plans, effectively managing resource allocation, and coordinating cross-functional teams, including product, operations, marketing, and finance.
- Continuously monitor community best practices and customer feedback to identify opportunities for ongoing innovation, expansion and adaptation by Chapters.
Return on Investment Responsibility
- Take ownership of Chapter and Ambassador ROI including balancing investment and learning with improving advisor metrics in Chapter markets and the quality of information in Forum.
- Lead a high-performing team, Chapter Leaders and Fora Ambassadors to support growth and operational excellence. Develop a strong culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration within the broader team.
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate Chapter and Ambassador performance based success. Continuously analyze financial and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions that enhance profitability and growth.
- Provide regular, transparent updates to senior leadership on progress, identifying key challenges, risks, and future opportunities. Propose solutions and strategic adjustments to grow advisors' businesses in Chapter markets.
Community Operations
- Develop Chapter and Ambassador hiring and onboarding, and define best practices, advisor-leader expectations and standard operating procedures
- Create and manage Chapter Leader and Fora Ambassador ongoing training, team integration and culture and communications to ensure these advisors are a consistent and excellent resource to their advisor communities
Requirements
- Total Experience: 6 - 10 years of professional experience combining both structured environments and entrepreneurial settings. Candidates must have at least 2 years in roles where they’ve demonstrated success in scaling or launching new business initiatives.
- Operational Expertise: Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Skilled in organizing new initiatives, building scalable systems and processes, with a focus on operational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
- Mentorship and Training: Ability to create and manage community programs that support advisors at various stages in their business journey.
- Analytical Skills: A strong data-driven mindset with the ability to operational metrics and advisor behavior. Must be adept at using data to guide strategic decisions and optimize processes.
- Outstanding Communications and People-Centric Leadership: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels as well as lead diverse Chapter Leadership, Fora Ambassadors and internal team members effectively
- Work Arrangement: Open to ~20% travel and at least four days in our NYC office
Compensation
Annual Salary: $130-$150k + equity. Other benefits include:

This role is based in our beautiful New York City office (Tribeca/Fidi) with lots of natural light and great views.
